My year end note for 2024 ended like this:
Looking back, there are a lot of unfinished tasks. I want to have a pace up in 2025, personally and professionally. Will update!!
And yes, life indeed was on a litereal level-up. My first industry job found me. I got into a place where everyone was enthusiastic when I spoke about languages and AI. And started to hear about the intricate space of judiciary.
The change has been huge. For the first time in my life I am not part of an academic institution 😀. The users of the product we build is one of the vital pillars of our nation, and they are one of the most underserved communities. The user interactions have been a real eye-opener. While working on product and research, I got a surprising chance to be part of an AI academic programme for the judiciary.
The outcomes of the research we were on are already in use in the courts in India. As a resercher the work is incomplete unless it is into publication, which we are working on.
I am on my first remote job. I was bit unsure about staying at home all day everyday. Not only I got used to the comfort of my home 😅, but I have recovered from a lot of travel induced health issues too.
Do I miss something? Yes, I need to control my urge to crack some mallu movie jokes!! ദിപ്പൊ ശരിയാക്കിത്തരാം!!
Enrolled Kiddo in classical dance classes. She is learning to dance, stayed up with her for the first few classes 😄, and decided to enroll myself too. Totally unsure if I would ever be on a stage as a Bharatanatyam dancer, but I am loving the practice sessions as a very late learner.
Any resolutions for 2026? Yes, to update this space more often, atleast once a month. Let us see!!
